Ditcheat is very well known as home to Paul Nicholls’s racing stables and Barbers farmhouse cheese. There is also a thriving village hall and parish church. Transport links are excellent with Castle Cary’s mainline railway station to London and the South West just five minutes’ drive away. Local shopping can be found in Castle Cary, Bruton (home to the now famous Hauser and Wirth gallery and “At the Chapel” restaurant) The Newt in Somerset hotel and gardens have recently opened nearby. From the A37 turn onto Wraxall road The Old Rectory can be found about a mile down this road on the right-hand side. If coming from the A371 turn left into Ditcheat. Go past the Manor Inn pub and head towards the A37. The Old Rectory can be found on your left-hand side as you leave Ditcheat. Look for the clock tower on the garage block!
