Property SummaryMulberry House is a stylish, contemporary family home in small exclusive courtyard development of 3 homes. Built in 2019 on the edge of the popular village of Galhampton, just a couple of miles from the market town of Castle Cary.
This extremely spacious, light filled house, is energy efficient and finished to a high spec with acute attention to detail with stunning far reaching views.
The front door opens into a stylish reception hall with an impressive double height stairwell with a skylight at the very top giving an immediate feeling of space. The reception hall leads to a striking open-plan kitchen/dining/living space, with floor to ceiling bi -folds maximising the light, creating stunning views across open farmland. Dijon limestone flooring reflects the light and underpins the spacious feel. Mulberry House sits in approx 3/4 Acre of land.
The kitchen has been designed with bespoke cabinetry in a refined deep blue and silver grey, complemented perfectly by white quartz work surfaces and stainless steel appliances. The unencumbered open space is perfect for entertaining or family time, with ample room for a large dining table and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the views. A doorway leads through to a spacious utility room, fitted with the same cabinetry and a door to the garden. A door leads into a ‘Jack and Jill’ downstairs loo which can also be accessed from the reception hall. The sitting room is exceptionally spacious with windows to the front and glass doors all along the back taking in the views once again - this is another wonderful space for entertaining or just for some quiet time. A central chimney breast with a contemporary wood burning stove is at the heart of this room, and there is an abundance of space for seating and furniture.
Upstairs, a light and airy landing leads to five bedrooms, two with en-suite bathrooms, and a family bathroom. The principal bedroom has a vast oak and glass apex window and French doors with a Juliet balcony showcasing the stunning views beyond. A door opens into a dressing area with copious shelving and hanging space continuing through to a stylish en-suite shower room with a wet-room style shower.
Above the double garage and accessed by a separate wooden staircase from outside is a spacious eaves room, a perfect space for a gym or office – or extra sleeping accommodation.
Turstin Court is an exclusive development of three contemporary houses in a private courtyard. Electronic gates open into the shared gravel courtyard and Mulberry House is on the right. A stone path leads along the front of the house, bordered by attractive estate fencing and a lawn. Wooden gates on either side of the house lead through to the rear garden. At the rear, a veranda outside the sitting room opens out to a stone terrace – perfect for dining al fresco. To one side of the house is another paved area with a brick base ready for a pizza oven. An expansive rear lawn stretches out to the surrounding open farmland, enclosed by post and rail fencing, with some laurel hedging and close board fencing to the sides. The double garage has an exterior staircase at the side leading up to the room above and parking for 4 plus vehicles.
