There are excellent local independent schools nearby including King's School, Bruton, and Bruton School for Girls. In close proximity are Millfield, Hazelgrove and Allhallows prep school.

From Shepton Mallet follow A371 for approximately 6 miles, past Castle Cary station, then take the next right on the B3153 signposted Somerton. There are signs counting down to the "low bridge" which is at the end of the drive to Clanville Manor. Take the right hand drive towards the farmhouse ahead and drive around the side of the house to the parking area.
From the A303, at the Podimore roundabout, take the A37 signposted Bristol/Shepton Mallet. Continue for 4 miles to the traffic lights at Lydford. Turn right onto the B3135. Follow this for 4 miles through the villages of Lovington and Alford. There will be signs counting down to the "low bridge" which is at the end of the drive to Clanville Manor. Take the drive up to the farmhouse ahead and drive around to the side of the house to the parking area.
