The Cider Barn also has easy access to Street and Glastonbury where all local facilities, such as independent shops and chain stores, supermarkets, Doctors surgeries, dentists and a minor injuries hospital can be found, plus in Street there is the renown Clarks Village outlet.

There is a mainline rail service from Castle Cary to London Paddington taking 110 minutes.  It is a 30-minute drive to Templecombe station which is 120 minutes into Waterloo.
