Contemporary stylish living in a Cary stone cottage.
Spire Cottage has been completely modernised and refurbished including the restructuring of internal rooms, moving the staircase, and re-plastering the entire property, resulting in a very desirable cottage with an attractive and private garden. What was originally two cottages is now a thoughtfully designed three bedroom, two bathroom property with a spacious kitchen/dining room and separate sitting room. The attention to detail is evident throughout with good quality kitchen and bathrooms, Farrow and Ball colours, stainless light switches and a new layout that leaves the cottage feeling open plan, but with the bonus of a study/snug/playroom and small light filled garden room. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a generous en suite shower room, plus two further bedrooms and family bathroom with bath with shower over.
The modern kitchen and bathrooms are complimented by the existing fireplaces and wood panelled cupboards that have been tastefully painted in soothing colours. There is a lovely view towards Lodge Hill and the famous spire of All Saints Church mentioned by Nicholas Pevsner the renowned architectural historian.
A door leads from the kitchen into the secluded south facing garden. It is very safe for animals and children as it is totally fenced on all sides. There is a lower area which is gravelled where there is plenty of space for a seating area and lots of flower pots. Rising up from this level are steps to a small area of lawn.
Spire Cottage is right in the heart of the town and is only a minutes walk to the High Street. Castle Cary is widely regarded as one of Somerset's architectural gems principally because of its honey coloured traditional stone buildings and historic market place placed within a Conservation Area. The small market town lies in the heart of the Somerset countryside. It has many independent businesses including shops, boutiques and galleries and at the weekly Tuesday market local producers gather to sell their wares including organic vegetables, artisan bread, cheese, meats and fish. New restaurants have recently opened as well as a wonderful delicatessen and independent wine shop. Other amenities include nursery, primary and secondary schools, health centre, dental practice, library, bank, post office, grocery stores, butcher, newsagent, chemist, pubs, restaurants and and tea shops. Large supermarkets are located in the towns of Wincanton and Shepton Mallet which are both a short drive away and the fashionable town of Bruton is also very close by. Bruton is a popular town in the heart of the Somerset countryside. It has several well-known restaurants, pubs and bars including “At the Chapel” and “The Roth Bar” at the world-renowned Hauser & Wirth Gallery. The town also has a doctors surgery, pharmacy, vet, post office, several mini supermarkets, fuel station and numerous independent shops.
For further shopping and recreational activities Frome, Bath, Bristol, Salisbury and Wells are all within easy driving distance.

Airports in Bristol and Exeter offer connections within the UK, Europe and beyond.
