Property Summary

A deceptively spacious house in the very popular village of Ditcheat. Side on to the lane this period house is far bigger than can be imagined from looking from the roadside.

Dating back to the 1800s this is the first time this house has been on the market in 26 years. This happy home offers good accommodation with high ceilings and well proportioned rooms. On entering, first impressions are very good with a spacious hallway with Terrazzo floor tiles and a very elegant staircase. The west facing sitting room is a very good size, with unusually high ceilings, a big window and an attractive fireplace.

The kitchen is well positioned and adjoins a light filled sun room with two doors out to the very pretty, well designed garden. Either side of the kitchen are a big utility /boot room and a light and airy dining room with french doors to the garden.

Upstairs are four bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room and there is a family bathroom.

The garden is a particular feature of the house. It overlooks a beautiful orchard and has been designed with easy maintenance in mind. There are a good variety of trees, established vine, mature shrubs, a Wisteria arch, a good area of lawn, a pond, greenhouse and a new shed.

There is off road parking for several cars and a large double garage with power and light and two windows.
