Baltonsborough is a lively and popular village in the heart of Somerset. The Greyhound Inn is within strolling distance, a Fish & Chip van arrives every Thursday, you can either order in advance or have a drink while you wait. Or on a Friday evening you will find a "Pop up" Pizza Oven outside the village hall. Baltonsborough also has a good primary school and a Grade 1 listed local church. Fabulous walking can be found in the extensive network of droves as well as down by the river. Further shopping can be found in nearby Street (with its famous Outlet stores at Clarks Village), the market town of Somerton and the historic city of Wells and Bruton just a short drive away. Local attractions include the Glastonbury Festival, the Kingweston Golf Club and several good local pubs and restaurants. Bath and Bristol are both about an hour’s drive to the North. Millfield Senior and Prep Schools are both within a 10 minute drive of the house, there are other local independent schools locally including Wells Cathedral. There are excellent local schools including the well respected Strode College, Crispin School, Brookside Academy and The Blue School in Wells.
Local transport links are excellent with a mainline railway station in nearby Castle Cary, which is a 15 minute drive, offering direct services to London and the South West. The A37 and A303 offer good road links to London and the M5.
